Using the four photos in this week’s lesson, answer the following.

Regardless of the community we live in, we have potential targets for terrorism. Some we pass by every day and may not think about, or even realize, the potential danger. The photos for this assignment are of a school district bus barn where hundreds of school buses are housed. Gas tanks and other flammable tanks also sit on the property. The property is located next to a high school with over 3,000 students and another 250-300 staff members. Across the street is a middle school with 1,500 students and 125-175 staff members. First, what kind of target is this; i.e. transportation, energy, tourist, etc.? More than one may apply. Of the six tactics of terrorism, which could occur here? What act or acts of terrorism could be conducted on this site? If an individual disabled the brake line to the majority or all of the buses, would you consider that an act of terrorism, or would it be vandalism? Lastly, before today, have you considered a location like this as a potential terrorist target?
